I've always loved art. I began taking oil painting classes as early as junior high school and quickly fell in love with texture and vibrant colors. I tried college but sitting in a math class so I can get my art degree seemed like a waste of time so I did something crazier… I painted. I spent a large chunk of my time just pushing paint around a canvas with a brush and studying different techniques. Side note: I did graduate but not in art.

Up close - my work usually looks like a bunch of messy globs of paint the magic, to me, is when you look at it from a distance.

I do not use brushes. I use a variety of palette knives with an impasto (wet on wet) technique to create a sculpture-like depth on canvas.
